Merseyside Maritime Museum is in a former bonded warehouse, part of the historic Albert Dock on the banks of the River Mersey and tells the story of Liverpool's seafaring heritage and the merchant navy.
The museum's collections reflect the international importance of Liverpool as a gateway to the world, including the city's role in the transatlantic slave trade and emigration.
The Maritime Museum is located at the Albert Dock on Liverpool's famous waterfront, adjacent to the Pier Head. A mere stroll from the city centre and all its attractions. Within easy reach of 1.5 million people, it has extensive rail, bus and road links (including a comprehensive motorway network), as well as convenient air and boat connections via Liverpool and Manchester Airports, the Mersey Ferry and Seacat.
Located in the Albert Dock complex.
