In the city centre's Georgian Quarter, the Hotel is located on Liverpool's most famous street, set between the city's two cathedrals and surrounded by its universities, theatres and concert hall. Built in 1860 in the style of a Venetian Palazzo, it was originally home to the London Carriage Works. It is now a highly contemporary and luxurious 48-room boutique hotel.
Each room is truly individual, with the emphasis placed on quality; real wood floors (with under floor heating), king-sized beds draped in Egyptian cotton, REN toiletries, state of the art DVD players and LCD wide screen televisions, along with un-metered broadband access in every room.
On the ground floor of the hotel, facing out on to Hope Street, chef Paul Askew has created one of the city's leading restaurants. Since opening in December 2003 The London Carriage Works has enjoyed universal praise including a Hardens Guide's 2005 Remy award as one of the top 10 restaurants outside London.
The hotel has three highly popular conference spaces equipped with plasma screens, broadband access and all the attention you would expect from Liverpool's leading independent hotel.
